There was just something about the way he said this that makes it my favorite line in that scene. It was as if he was so insulted, or he was just told that he wasn’t someone’s parent.

A detective at work. I love how they actually show his process instead of just him solving everything right away. It shows his humanity. He may be a genius, but he still has aspects of him that make him human.
And manipulating Watson at the same time, of course! Love him. Brilliant scene.
